These are my thoughts on the Academy Awards as they happen: 8:35 pm - Jon Stewart, hilarious. Love the Jewish jokes. 8:43 pm - Jennifer Garner has an emo haircut. 9:08 pm - Golden Compass visual effects guys brought a little note card? I don’t like people who bring notes for their speeches. Were you that sure you were gonna win? It must suck to throw those out unused....

Business Time
I’m not a big fan of the Grammys. They were on last night. I didn’t watch. I opted instead to read the winners in today’s NY Times Arts section. Flight of the Conchords won Best Comedy Album, for The Distant Future EP. This is great news. May they win many more awards in the future. Last I heard, they plan on releasing a full length April 22, with songs from their first season...
