Harry Potter and the Blog Update

Alright so I’ve been internetless for a few days, here is some entertainment news I”m thrilled about:

 1) Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, Rowling’s epic 7th HP novel, will be made into 2 films. David Yates is returning to direct em, part 1 will have a release date of November 2010 and part 2 will be released May 2011.  Let the speculating of what makes the films and where it will be cut in two begin.

 2) As previously reported Scrubs is potentially moving to ABC. Looks like we’re getting a whole nother season as well. 18 episodes.

 3) Britney Spears is doing a guest spot on How I Met Your Mother. Not sure I understand this but more importantly is that Sarah Chalke will be guesting in the episode as well.

Anyway lots of television comes back this week so expect some updates. As usual here’s some other recently viewed media:

Film: Forgetting Sarah Marshall (Link is to red band trailer) - I had the privilege and luck of getting to see this a month early at Downtown Disney in Orlando. Produced by Judd Apatow the break up comedy was written by and stars Jason Segel, along with Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis and a ridiculous supporting cast including Jonah Hill and Jack McBryer. No doubts here it’s a raunchy, lovable comedy in the vein of 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, and Superbad. The jokes hit much like the latter though. Its a very dude-centric film, so if you’re going to see it bring your bro’s or a not-easily-offended date. Like it’s predecessors, the plot of Marshall seems to meander a bit but you’ll definitely walk out of the theater quoting the lines.

Music: Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. - besides a great band name, this British acoustic, electronic, indie act has a great full length with a poppy brassy sound.

TV: Everybody Hates Chris - Started watching this show on a transcontinental flight. One of the few new episodes I caught this week. Chris Rock’s narrative is hands down the funniest part.

Can't buy me love.

McCartney and Apple have reached a deal. The Beatles music is coming to Itunes and it only cost Jobs and Co. $400 million.

Watch it from a storefront.

Why is it in every movie that takes place in the 50s, 60s, 70s people watch TV from the store fronts of appliance stores?

Below you’ll find a crazy hilarious new sketch from MTV’s Human Giant. The new season starts this week (March 11) along with a bunch of shows that I’m super psyched are coming back: South Park (3/12), Reaper (3/132), Top Chef (3/12), and How I Met Your Mother (3/17).

Breaking Bad also finishes out its season on Sunday night. If you haven’t gotten into this show as of yet you’re missing out. Bryan Cranston is such a b.a.
