Beastie Boys w/ The Roots - So Whatcha Want (Live on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon)
Hip Hop is a young genre. So young in fact that most of its pioneers are only 50 years old max. The Beastie Boys on Fallon last night was a striking example of what this genre is going to look like when it gets old. Slightly uncomfortable. I wish Jimmy could ask better questions. It would have been nice if he asked something like, “How do you guys tour with families?” or “How has your age given you new perspective on your music?” But no, instead he just fumbled around and made awkward jokes.
