Armond White is nothing if not predictable. His negative review of The Social Networkarrived today, complete with thoughts on how David Fincher’s film compares negatively to the C. Thomas Howell classic, Soul Man, and shots at Noah Baumbach. “As played by pale-skinned, curly-headed Jesse Eisenberg,” White writes, “Zuckerberg may be the most obnoxious movie protagonist Noah Baumbach didn’t write.” Well, at least he liked it better than Greenberg? ‘Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg re-popularized the Internet by founding the Facebook in 2003.’ THE facebook. He’s clearly just trolling at this point right, I mean it reads like a spoof of one of his reviews.

This is a better indicator of the movie’s excellence than the 51-critic 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

“It’s really a movie excusing Hollywood ruthlessness.”
I’m guessing this means that it is going to be the best film of the year.
