Classic hijinx from The Lonely Island crew. Stick it out ‘til at least 1:45. Genuinely funny stuff and much more successful at the funny viral video/music video genre than Ted Leo and Paul F Tompkins were a few weeks back.
Also there’s a wonderful meta element here with the lyrics, “are they laughing at or with me?” and Samberg’s SNL history spoofing the mellow singer songwriter.
