Trailer Premiere for Ricky Gervais’ “The Invention of Lying” co-starring TIna Fey, Jonah Hill, Louis CK, Stephen Merchant, Christopher Guest, Jeffrey Tambor, Jason Bateman, and assorted other exciting people.it also has Martin Starr (!!!) and “Mr. Blue Sky” in the trailer, so I’m immediately sold.
I love high concept comedies like this one. They can either be really good (Groundhog Day) or really bad (anything Eddie Murphy has done in the past 3 years.) This one looks promising, with Ricky Gervais writing, directing and starring. And if you’re not drooling over the cast you have no taste in comedy. Louis CK has a great one liner at the end of the trailer.
