‘The Walking Dead’ Casts ‘Wire’ Actor as Comic Favorite

Fans of the comic should rejoice as we now have confirmation that a beloved character from the page will be making the transfer to the screen — and a familiar face from ‘The Wire’ will fill the role …

TV Line has confirmed that Chad Coleman has been brought in to play former football star Tyrese. In the comic, Tyrese was a part of the gang much earlier, but, better late than never for the show. Coleman you may also know from ‘The Good Wife’ or ‘Burn Notice’.
