Trailer: Footloose - Oct 14, 2011

Directed by Craig Brewer. Starring Kenny Wormald, Julianna Hough, and Dennis Quaid.

Two years ago a big screen remake of Fame hit theaters. It grossed a paltry $22 million and notched a 25% on RottenTomatoes. You probably forgot it even existed. Two years later, it’s the 80s all over again but even worse. At least Fame made some sense in a modern setting, Footloose as pictured here, appears to be a disaster of hodgepodge decades and postmodern style gone horribly wrong. It forgets the campy allure of its original, and clearly - from trailer alone - can’t make heads or tails of what it is. And neither can its stars accents.
