The former Stern sidekick will cohost a Fox Sports Radio show with Nick Dipaolo starting September 12th.
Ten months after a failed suicide attempt, The Howard Stern Show staple finally surfaced at a comedy club in New York over the weekend, E! News has learned.
“Yes Artie performed two 20- to 25-minute sets Friday and Saturday, and he was as funny as ever,” said a spokesman for the Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village.
Appearing on Stern’s satellite radio show earlier today, fellow comic Craig Gass revealed he had caught up with the 42-year-old Lange at the club, posting a photo of Lange on Facebook to prove it. By all accounts, Lange looks slimmer and happier.
“He seemed fine,” an eyewitness to Lange’s stand-up act tells E! News. “He was speaking with these other comedians and he was joking around. Everyone was very very happy to see him and it was a very nice occasion.”
The former MADtv regular and Stern sidekick was hospitalized on Jan. 2 His mother found him unconscious in his Hoboken, N.J., residence, after he tried to take his own life by stabbing himself in the abdomen nine times.
