Sources tell THR that the British actress is the front runner for heading up Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch. She’ll appear in the season finale along with Jim Carrey, Ray Romano, James Spader, Ricky Gervais and Will Arnett.
Apparently Spader and and Arnett were also considered for the job as well as series regulars Ed Helms, Craig Robinson, and Rainn Wilson.
Tate is best known for her work on Doctor Who.
I don’t know how much validity this has, but if it does happen to be true, I might have to start watching The Office.
My distaste for Donna Noble runs so deep that I might be forced to Eternal Sunshine all the episodes of The Office that I’ve previously seen if this rumor is true.
