Watch Doc Brown’s Odd Commercial for an Argentine Electronics Store | /Film

This is actually a pretty sweet commercial, and I think the handheld aspect works. Wonder how much they paid for the Back to the Future imagery?

Also, why did Doc Brown go to a 2011 Argentine electronics store?

Or as Scheer puts it…

[Christopher] Lloyd then mentioned that he will be soon filming an episode of Fringe. Lloyd’s casting (in the tenth episode of the current season) as a musical icon and hero of Walter Bishop on Fringe was reported last week, and included in the latest TrekMovie Sci-Fi TV update. However, Lloyd then made some news, revealing that Leonard Nimoy would be joining him in the same episode of Fringe, reprising his role as William Bell. The audience, to say the least, was very enthusiastic about that information and it was exciting news generated at the convention.

Leonard Nimoy last appeared in May, in the the season two finale of Fringe, and at the time he stated it would be his last role, not only on Fringe, but as an actor. However, Nimoy has sometimes noted that he has learned to “never say never”, so it appears (if his health allows) that he will be back on Fringe again.

Great Scott! Back to the Future’s Doc Brown will be meeting Fringe’s resident Doctor Frankenstein whenChristopher Lloyd guest stars early next year as Walter’s musical hero.

“We all know how much Walter loves music, right? Well this fellow was one of his icons,” explains John Noble of Lloyd’s role in the season’s 10th episode. “He adored this man. So Walter gets to be a bit of a fanboy.”

But outside the European Artsy Fartsy nude underwater ballet chicks - the best performance belongs to Christopher Lloyd. He’s epic. Hearing ol Doc Brown exclaim crazily about the Piranhas - Joy. At least 5 times in his opening scene the audience applauded… not Christopher Lloyd’s tits - but his oratory prowess. Exclamations that make you wonder… Why isn’t he President of the United States. I was willing to vote for him based solely upon his work on TAXI. But here - I won’t deny there’s simply a nostalgic kneejerk expression of love for Lloyd. But also… he rules.
