Since the second season, the creators of “Cougar Town” have been mocking their own show’s title right in the title card, with a new joke every episode.
Here’s every Cougar Town title card joke, compiled by Alex Schmidt for Slacktory.
This is my favorite current running gag on TV and it was a blast to cut it together. Big thanks to Nick Douglas for everything.

The show will return in early 2013, with TBS also gaining the rerun rights to Cougar Town‘s first three seasons.
Joe Adalian is reporting a 15 episode order.
This week kicks off the Scrubs reunion on Cougar Town. Sarah Chalke makes her multi-arc debut on March 6. The following week (March 13), Ken Jenkins, Sam Llyod (with the Peons) and Robert Maschio (The Todd) stop by. Supposedly Zach Braff will even make an appearance. Of course this will reunite all of them with Christa Miller and Courteney Cox (who had a brief arc on the show). [promo pics]
Cougar Town delivered 4.8 million viewers and a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating Tuesday night.
That’s far below its 3.4 last year, but that was when it was behind Modern Family and this is a much more difficult time slot. Bill Lawrence is hoping the ratings will go up as people realize the show is back on. Things aren’t hopeless.
Cougar Town Season Three 10 Minute Preview
Heavy spoiler alert! Lawrence, interestingly enough, released this mega trailer on his own as a way for fans to give their friends and newbies alike an idea of the show. Previewing forward by giving 10 minutes of an upcoming season may not have been the best strategy but it won’t hurt getting more eyeballs.

Cougar Town diehards: Bill Lawrence tweets that the cast cameos end tonight and it seems he’s promising a “solid” prize.
I’ll get you going, Dan Byrd recently appeared in an episode of Suburgatory.

Fans of TV’s underdog comedies are not having a good week. ABC has unveiled their mid season schedule and noticeably absent is the vastly under appreciated Cougar Town. Bill Lawrence’s show was waiting till mid season to come back but as per ABC’s announcement is no where to be seen.
Also, hyped comedy Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23 is not scheduled, nor are Pan Am and Man Up. Pan Am may still be renewed, Man Up is canceled.
