I caught up with David Wain this week and had to ask about WHAS. -dylan
“It is slowly but surely in the process of being made,” Wain tells Laughspin, before I asked him if he and Showalter had at least a few pages of the script completed. “I would say we have more than a few pages,” he told me with a laugh.
“Seriously, we’re doing it,” Wain tells me. “I know everyone wants to know. I’m flattered and thrilled, but the creative process has its own time schedule. And meanwhile Michael [Showalter] and I are in the editing process of the movie we shot over the summer called They Came Together, which will be finishing soon and we’ll be putting it out soon and I’m very excited for people to see that.”
What’s this? Oh just
David Wain & Paul Rudd - Les Miserables “Confrontation”
Yeah, this is pretty great.
David Wain & Paul Rudd and NPH & Jason Segel should have a “Confrontation” Off. And then Hugh Jackman and Russel Crowe can face off the winners.
Please let it happen, please let it happen, please let it happen!
::sigh:: I look forward to my Saturday Double Feature of this and the Arrested Development movie someday in the near never.
Only if we get to play Duke Nukem Forever and listen to Chinese Democracy before the double feature. Wait a second…
IFC is developing eight new series — including scripted comedy, reality and animation — that epitomize its “always on, slightly off” identity. Creative talent on-board include Thom Beers (Ice Road Truckers, Deadliest Catch), Alan Spencer (Sledge Hammer!) and an animated comedy from director David Wain (The State, Role Models).
Comedy nerd heaven.
Fans of Role Models and Wet Hot American Summer, take note and rejoice: David Wain will direct Wanderlust, a comedy written by Wain,Paul Rudd and Ken Marino. Rudd and Jennifer Aniston will star, with Judd Apatow producing.
