Kudos to Scott Rudin and Warner Bros. for taking on this film - a feel good 9/11 drama resting on the shoulders of a child actor is a huge gamble. The trailer puts it in a wondrous light but leaves the young Horn’s full talents and the cohesion of the thing up in the air. That said, the location shooting looks gorgeous and the talent collected is top notch. Is it Oscar bait or Oscar glory?

Sandra Bullock and Tom Hanks have received offers to star in the adaptation of the Jonathan Safran Foer novel Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, Variety reports. The novel, published in 2005, is set in 2003 and narrated by 9-year-old Oskar Schell, a precocious New York City kid whose father died in 9/11.
