The final season is its own story in its own location. The final season is not New York-centric at all. It really is a lovely, fitting season that dwells on the original people on the show and what happens to them and how they give back. That really is the last season. We’ll revisit some of the new kids that came and went, there’s a return of the [Sue] and [Will] in a big way. It’s a really interesting, very sweet, satisfying ending to the story.

Murphy also said there will be a time jump and that all of the original cast members are invited to return. The show will also feature the newer characters at some point to explain what happened to them.

Quiz time: Which of these things haven’t happened on Glee?

I’ve seen every episode of ‘Glee’ and am certain I would fail this quiz.

The move has been rumored for a few months, but this marks the first time Fox has confirmed it. Ding-dong, the choir room’s dead!

SPOILER ALERT: THR is reporting that the alumni-heavy 100th episode of ‘Glee’ will see the disbanding of the New Directions at the hands of Sue.

The Fox musical will then do several consecutive episodes set in New York City, centering on Rachel (Lea Michele), Blaine (Darren Criss), Kurt (Chris Colfer), Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Mercedes (Amber Riley) and potentially other co-stars.

Sources tell THR that executive producers including Ryan MurphyBrad Falchuk andIan Brennan are still crafting the rest of season five and it’s unclear what will happen to New Directions’ current roster.

Making the show just about New York is 100% the right move.

The ending of Glee is something I have never shared with anyone, but I always knew it. I’ve always relied on it as a source of comfort, a North Star. At the end of season 6, Lea [Michele]‘s Rachel was going to have become a big Broadway star, the role she was born to play. Finn was going to have become a teacher, settled down happily in Ohio, at peace with his choice and no longer feeling like a Lima loser. The very last line of dialogue was to be this: Rachel comes back to Ohio, fulfilled and yet not, and walks into Finn’s glee club. ‘What are you doing here?’ he would ask. ‘I’m home,’ she would reply. Fade out. The end.

That’s it, I don’t think there are any ‘Spring Awakening’ cast members left.

Lots of scheduling changes at Fox. ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ will follow ‘New Girl’ in February as well, ‘Mindy will return in April. New series ‘Rake’ will air after ‘Idol’ on Thursdays.

Ryan Murphy’s buzzed about FX series is available in its entirety on DVD for 71% off the $198.70 list price until 3:20 ET today.

Totally Important Glee Question

Um, did any character ever say this season what happened to Sugar Motta?

Like, last we saw her at the wedding proposal and now she no longer exists in the middle of a school year. DID SHE EVER EXIST. What if Sugar Motta was just a giant mass hallucination?

'Glee's wanton disregard of continuity is one of its strongest assets.

Plus, the actress recorded a song about Cory Monteith for her debut album.

But Kurt may be going to Russia? I don’t know.
