Jennifer Lopez named ‘People’ magazine’s Most Beautiful Person | People
Remember last year when I was asking why she was all of a sudden relevant again?
Yeah, me neither.
New American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez is heaping more on her plate: The actress/singer is set to produce a new hour-long dramedy for ABC that will “center on three branches of an extended Los Angeles family — as told through the eyes of their three Latina nannies,” according to Variety. Lopez and her producing partner Simon Fields are joining with Friendsand Big Love writer Alexa Junge for the still-untitled project.
It’s a shame this is going to ABC, it would have been a perfect companion piece for NBC’s Outsoruced.
Jennifer Lopez On “How I Met Your Mother” Sneak Peek
Wait, this clip is actually promising. Could J Lo not be terrible? I’m digging the suggested plot.
I love Nikki Finke and the way she so aptly fuels my one sided Internet flame wars.
The bland version of what happened, I’m told, is that the contract period had ended and that Lopez had fulfilled it with her last two singles, and that Lopez and Stringer decided together not to move forward with an album. Others insist the Sony label dropped her.
The album which was supposed to be released in April is apparently not done either. Unfortunately thats where the drama ends because Finke reports that J Lo reps say the split was mutual. The triple threat is actively seeking a deal at Island Def Jam.
Also her upcoming film The Back Up Plan won’t be released until April. So what exactly is she going to promote on SNL next week?
Looks like I better start warming to a J Lo comeback because she might be here to stay, again.
