BIG NEWS: We’re gonna be on TV!
“Hit RECord on TV” is gonna be a new kind of variety show. I’ll host the show and also direct our global online community to create short films, live performances, music, animation, conversation, and of course, more! Each episode will be focused on a different theme. And like always, anybody with an internet connection is invited to contribute.
I’m super excited to get started!
Are you RECording?
It’s going to air on a new cable channel called Pivot.
They’ve dropped the “‘s Addiction” from the title.
JGL covers GQ
In case you haven’t noticed, Joseph Gordon Levitt’s first feature ‘Don Jon’s Addiction’ has a production tumblr.

Trailer: 50/50 - Sept 30
Directed by Jonathan Levine (The Wackness). Written by Will Reiser. Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, Anna Kendrick, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Anjelica Huston
I’m assuming Seth Rogen took his experience of dealing with terminal illness from Funny People and put it to work here, but already 50/50 seems streets ahead. The next logical step for the character driven comedies of Apatow is what we’re seeing above - real human drama with humor peppered in. Dealing with cancer through the eyes of a young person is to my knowledge unprecedented in mainstream Hollywood and who better to do it than JGL, who is clearly having the most dynamic, praise worthy young career. And then you have Jonathan Levine at the helm who proved more than his merit with The Wackness. This movie is really going to be something.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception) and Scarlett Johansson (Iron Man 2) may soon be lending their talents to a “zombie comedy.” Pajiba is reporting that the two are “loosely attached” to Breathers: A Zombie’s Lamentbased on S.G. Browne’s 2009 novel of the same name. Currently, Diablo Cody (Juno) is set to produce the script by Geoff Latulippe (Going the Distance). Per the report, Latulippe’s script is being circulated to potential directors as I type, meaning Gordon-Levitt and Johansson’s involvement may be either confirmed or denied sooner rather than later.
