Trailer: ‘R.I.P.D.’ - July 19th
Directed by Robert Schwentke, Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, Stephanie Szostak, Mary-Louise Parker, Marisa Miller, Mike O’Malley, James Hong and Robert Knepper.
Oh okay, who knew this was going to be so stylized? Very very reminiscent of ‘Men In Black’ but it’s got a few novel twists on the formula so I’ll take it. And Jeff Bridges is more than hamming it up so why not. I just have one question, what stakes are there for Reynolds and Bridges if they’re already dead? Can they die again?
I wonder how much they’re offering him. Also, is it the same role that Zach Galifianakis just exited?
Planned for late summer release on Blue Note Records. Should make a great companion to Hugh Laurie’s album.

Young, cute, Jeff Bridges. Don’t forget to watch/DVR his American Masters episode tonight on PBS, if you’re into that kind of thing.
And here’s young, cute, shirtless Jeff Bridges.

DVR alert: PBS airs ‘Jeff Bridges: The Dude Abides’ Wed at 8 pm | Pop Candy
In the above clip Bridges visits The Little Lebowski, a store devoted to the film.
Jeff Bridges, with an Oscar and Tron: Legacy to promote, will host Saturday Night Live on December 18. Bridges hasn’t appeared on the show since February 1983: SNL will finally have a chance to correct a major lacuna in its oeuvre and do a sketch about the Dude starring the actual Dude. [Gold Derby/LAT]
It looks like Jeff Bridges is going to be hostingSaturday Night Live this season, possibly the episode after Jon Hamm. That’d be either November 6th or 13th, depending on when the next off week is.
Strange that he’s not hosting in December sometime, closer to when his movies (Tron, True Grit) are coming out.
