Jerry Seinfeld showed up at the Gotham Comedy Club “New Talent” night to try some new material tonight. Jim Gaffigan also made an appearance. One of the greatest nights I’ve had in NYC.  Reactions forthcoming.

What’s the deal with Jerry Seinfeld joining Twitter?

I thought it might be fun to go through all of it

TV Promo: HBO Comedy Special TALKING FUNNY with Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Louis C.K. and Ricky Gervais | Collider

Airs April 22nd at 9 pm. Can’t help but be reminded of Paul Provenza and Showtime’s The Green Room.

HBO is planning to shoot a one-off comedy talk show this fall called Talking Funny. It will involve Ricky Gervais, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Louis CK sitting around and talking about comedy. Tough to argue with that.

Sounds like Paul Provenza’s Green Room on Showtime, but I’ll take it.

Former Saturday Night Live and Comedy Central star Colin Quinn will move his one-man show Colin Quinn Long Story Short to Broadway’s Helen Hayes Theatre for an 11-week limited engagement. Previews begin on October 22, with opening night set for November 9. The production will run through January 8, 2011, directed by Jerry Seinfeld.

Colin Quinn Long Story Short debuted on June 19 at off-Broadway’s Bleecker Street Theatre and extended its run through September 4. Quinn previously appeared at the Helen Hayes Theatre in the 1998 solo show Colin Quinn - An Irish Wake.

Comically channeling the demise of great world empires, Quinn takes audiences through his version of history of the world in 75 minutes. From his personification of Caesar as the original Italian mobster to his complaints about Ancient Greece and Antigone giving way to Costco and Snooki, Quinn uses satire to take on the attitudes, appetites and bad habits that toppled the world’s most powerful nations.

This is just awful. I blame Leno, here’s what WWTTD has to say…

Aren’t these the same people who fired Leno when he was in first place? And then put him on at 10, on a show that is in last place by a mile every single night, thus giving Conan no lead in? Shouldn’t they be the ones who get fired? The shows on NBC couldn’t be any worse unless they got the girl from ‘the Ring’ to crawl out of the screen and kill the viewers.
The first guest on NBC’s “The Jay Leno Show” will be … Jerry Seinfeld. http://bit.ly/36pG3
THR. Stop trying to make me watch Jay Leno, NBC!
