Trailer: ‘Carrie’ - March 15
Directed by Kim Pierce, starring Chloe Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, and Judy Greer.
This is the trailer that was shown at NYCC. It’s not much of the movie itself, but the sweeping shot of mass destruction sets up the tone immediately while cluing you into the scale of the remake. Then you get Moretz’s mug at the end, which speaks volumes in just seconds.
‘Carrie’ panel with Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore. They premiered a trailer in which we see a town on fire. The camera slowly flies down into the streets to reveal Moretz covered in blood mugging for the camera. All the while it’s accompanied by clips of terrified dialogue.
Other notes from the panel:
- The remake is set in modern day. Social media bullying was said to play a part in the script.
- It’s going to be R rated.
- Kim Pierce the director stressed that Brian DePalma was very supportive.
- Moore commended Moretz for being a teen playing a teen.
Dope is a period drug drama, where Moore would play a 1905s ex heroin addict who becomes a private eye.
First look at Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin. Moore plays Palin in the upcoming HBO drama “Game Change” which begins production today.
