I do wish Katy Perry would stop trying to pull a Timberlake in terms of becoming a part-time comedy performer.

So cool of Raising Hope to cast TJ Miller.

Well folks, it’s time to call it a summer. After 14 weeks of tracking how a group of over 70 songs performed on the Billboard, iTunes, YouTube, Last.fm, and VH1 Top 20 Countdown charts, Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” took home the prize for the 2011 Song Of The Summer. We were able to get Katy to accept the prize on video, the results of which you can see above.

Thanks to everyone who commented and gave feedback along the way this summer; a special shout-out goes to my man Alex over at Pop Culture Brain for helping spread the word on the Tumblrs! Here’s the Top 5 songs, but you can also peep the full list on the VH1 Blog:

1) Katy Perry, “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”
2) Adele, “Rolling In The Deep”
3) LMFAO, “Party Rock Anthem”
4) Bruno Mars, “The Lazy Song”
5) Pitbull featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer, “Give Me Everything”
