SNL BONUS SKETCH: Maya Rudolph as Oprah on Weekend Update | EW
As if Rudolph’s episode couldn’t get any better. Hot damn.
Wise move. Didn’t think Rudolph would want to revive the impression anyway, but I am nonetheless relieved that it doesn’t seem to be on the cards.
NBC has announced that Maya Rudolph will host “Saturday Night Live” on February 18, 2012. Supporting her as a musical act will be the Brooklyn based band Sleigh Bells.
Turns out that Twittering fanboy was right.
Only seeing this on Tumblr originating from a user with no source, so take it with a boulder of salt for now.
(Update: fixed mistake, it’s the 18th)
Anyone who has seen the trailer for Friends With Kids knows that the March 9 comedy could easily be a bizarro-world spiritual sequel to Bridesmaids, what with a cast that includes Kristen Wiig, Jon Hamm, Maya Rudolph, and Chris O’Dowd. But the film boasts even more lovable cast members: Friends With Kids focuses on two friends, played by Adam Scott and Jennifer Westfeldt, who decide to have a child together, platonically.
In the pilot Rudolph and Christina Applegate were coworkers at a public relations firm, now NBC exec Robert Greenblatt is saying that Rudolph will be, “a larger-than-life talk show host, and Christina will play her producer.”
That’ll either be brilliant or terrible.
In Case You Missed It of the Day: On last night’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Parks & Rec’s Nick Offerman took a generous bite out of a Ron Swanson Turkey Burger he prepared himself.
