With the announcement earlier this week, many fans have been wondering just why it will take so long to see Hank Pym hit the big screen as Ant-Man will not be making its way to theaters until November 2015. Though he’s currently at work on the comedy The World’s End with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, everything previously seemed lined up for a possible 2014 bow to get in just under the wire before The Avengers 2.
But earlier this summer Wright also committed himself to directing another project: a top secret sci-fi project calledCollider that is being executive produced by J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot banner. Now, it seems 2013 will be the year to get the project on track as new intel reports that cameras will begin to roll next week.
This show has been on for so long, fading to relative obscurity, I forgot about the central mystery. If you’re interested the spoiler is above. Though don’t expect a straight answer.
Click through to find out when and more spoiler-y information. For the record, the show has kept this central question close to the chest since its premiere in June of 2010.
Currently seeking the whereabouts of a supposedly wide release film released in the US on September 24th, 2010. Please send any information on the missing party to popculturbrain.com/ask.
According to IMDB, it opened on September 24th on 11 screens and grossed $100,268. Expanded to 33 screens on Oct 1st and made an additional $97,364 only to expand again on the 10th to 92 screens and pull in an additional $221,694 bringing its total to $511,038.
How did a marketable thriller with an interesting concept and a big name star die at exhibition? According to my math an average of 100+ people were at each screening, so it wasn’t a huge bomb. Distributor Lionsgate has released a handful of other films in the past few months and has others coming up (Last Exorcism, Expendables, Saw 3D).
Did anyone see Buried in theaters? Any guesses or knowledge as to what happened?
Hmmm. You be the judge. ONTD has a pretty convincing GIF. Click through for that and more photos from the shoot.
