(with more from Deadline)

One Tree Hill will enter its 43rd season this fall.

Apologies for the over saturation of news about pick ups, renewals, and cancelations. Just the nature of up-fronts week.

Meanwhile they’ve picked up Pan Am (More 60s!), Good Christian, and Apt. 23 (via EW).

Say what. While Bridesmaids sees release this weekend and has everyone asking if a female centric, raunchy comedy with no big stars can make a splash at the box office, the networks already know it to be true. Last year not a single female driven comedy was picked up. This year all of the pick up so far have been.

Stuart Levine at Variety dropped a lot of Peacock knowledge on us.

First it looks like they’re not keen on David E Kelley’s Wonder Woman. Neither was the internet.

But it’s cool because the sources say NBC will probably keep Kelley’s Harry’s Law with Kathy Bates. Also getting a renewal is Chuck, for 13 episodes. Chuck is just one of those series that refuses to give up.

In pick up land, things are looking food for dramas Smash (Debra Messing musical), Prime Suspect, The Playboy Club, REM (from Kyle Killen) and comedies, Whitney (as in Cummings), Alpha Mom (from Emily Spivey), and Are You There Vodka It’s Me, Chelsea (as in Handler).

The article goes on to discuss how it’s likely NBC will be opening a second comedy night due to overflow. Good stuff.

LOLA is still on the bubble, no word on other cancellations. For full details ahead of upfronts click through.
