'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' finale poster by Phantom City Creative | EW
Despite Sam Jackson, ‘SHIELD’ dropped to 8.4 million and a 3.1 rating. The remainder of the ABC’s line up was then also down with ‘Lucky 7’ falling to an abysmal 0.8 (and probably heading to cancelation). All of Fox’s comedies were also down, except ‘Mindy’ which held steady. ‘Dads’ hit a 1.3, ‘New Girl’ 1.9 and ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ 1.4 (which fell 22%).
Good rating for ‘SHIELD’ but still third in total viewership. Its solid showing carried over for the ABC’s comedies as well, though not as far as ‘Lucky 7’ which bombed hard. NBC won the night in the demo however, with Fox taking a hit in week two due to increased competition. Here’s how it all shook out by network.

An ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Billboard Lands in Los Angeles | Coming Soon
So Agent Coulson died in ‘The Avengers.’ Right? This is has left many fans wondering how exactly then he’ll carry on to ABC and Joss Whedon’s upcoming ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ series — and now we may have an answer.
SPOILER AFTER THE BREAK.
Joss Whedon (MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) shows us not all heroes are super with MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Fresh from his role in the summer’s box office smash, MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS, Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) returns to the worldwide law enforcement organization S.H.I.E.L.D. He puts together a small, highly trained, team of Agents to tackle the cases that haven’t been classified yet, the new, the strange and the unknown. That team consists of straight arrow Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), an expert in combat and espionage; pilot and martial artist Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen); and brilliant if socially awkward scientists Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge). They’ll be joined by civilian new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet). Prepare for an epic adventure that showcases the hope and wonder of the human spirit. This is a world of Super Heroes, aliens and the unusual – of action, spectacle and world spanning stories. The show will speak to the human condition through the lens of our very human, non-powered S.H.I.E.L.D agents – that together we are greater than we are apart, and that we can make a difference in the world. Executive Produced and co-written by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen (Dollhouse, Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog), Jeffrey Bell (Angel, Alias) and Jeph Loeb (Smallville, Lost, Heroes) comes Marvel’s first live-action TV series, MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

ABC’s SHIELD now has a Twitter page.
So, how is Clark Gregg in it? That’s the question. Lee also said that it’s very much a part of the Marvel Universe.

Agent Grant Ward is deadly, precise and cool under fire. He’s just doesn’t play well with others due to his not-so-great people skills. He’s volatile, but a decent guy with morals whose charm will eventually come through.
Soulful and quiet, Agent Althea Rice (a.k.a. “The Cavalry”) is an ace pilot, weapons expert and soldier who is a bit damaged from her combat experience and has gone beyond the call of duty.
Finally, there’s Agent Leo Fitz and Agent Jemma Simmons, also known as “Fitz-Simmons” as the two spend all their time together. Think more along the lines of a brother and sister who always bicker and annoy one another. They came up together and are masters in their fields: Fitz is good with weapons and gadgets while Simmons is into science. Yes, they are huge nerds (and also attractive).
