Trailer: ‘The Bling Ring’ - June 14
Written and directed by Sofia Coppola, starring Emma Watson, Taissa Farmiga, and Leslie Mann.
Dancing Emma Watson forever and ever. (I’m concerned about the comparisons this is going to draw with ‘Spring Breakers.’)

Trailer: ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ - Dec 19
Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, written by Mark Boal, starring Jessica Chastain, Joel Edgerton, Mark Strong, Chris Pratt, Kyle Chandler, Harold Perrineau, and Mark Dulpass.
Well, this is certainly a bold piece of promotional material. But despite the controversy swirling around the film, there’s no one I’d rather see the story of finding Bin Laden from than Bigelow and Boal.

First Look: Comedy Bang Bang’s Ultimate Teaser Trailer | Funnyordie
Featuring everyone ever. (Or just most of CBB’s upcoming guests.) This is fantastic and would have been a hilarious video even if it wasn’t promoting CBB.
The sequel doesn’t start shooting until February but a special, brief teaser has been put together to trumpet the news team’s return. Rudd, Ferrell, Carell, and Koechner appear but Christina Applegate does not.
Teaser Trailer: The Host - March 29th, 2013
Writtend and directed by Andrew Niccol, from the novel by Stephanie Meyer. Starring Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, Jake Abel, Diane Kruger, and William Hurt.
So it’s Invasion of the Body Snatchers/The Thing? Makes sense with a title like The Host, I just wish this teaser gave us a little more. I think I’m willing to forgive Andrew Niccol for In Time and can look over the fact that it’s from the writer of Twilight. Plus, Saoirse Ronan is hands down the most exciting young actress in Hollywood and is crazy talented. Now we just have to wait a full year to see this thing.

TV Promo: ’Game of Thrones’ Season 2 Teaser Trailer | EW
The cold winds are rising!
Teaser Trailer: American Reunion - April 6, 2012
Directed by Jon Hurwitz. Starring Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Sean William Scott, Tara Reid, Mena Suvari, Chris Klein, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Eugene Levy and pretty much everyone else from the original film.
This is an odd teaser as it’s not really a teaser. It’s more of an iMovie slide show. And while I get that they’re going for the nostalgia thing, I’m not sure this is enough to elicit it. Though it’s on its way there. Peculiar that they’d go for the whole sentimental thing up front. I guess they’re banking on people having fond memories for these characters. Whether they actually do is undetermined.

Teaser Trailer: The Amazing Spider-Man - July 3, 2012
Directed by Marc Webb. Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, and Denis Leary.
This is what happens when Marvel tries to go “dark and gritty.” For the most part the trailer works, if a bit forced in its attempts at realism. Then again this all already looks more grounded in reality than Sam Raimi’s Spider Man. The POV stuff at the end, while clearly trying to promote the 3D aspect of the film, looks like nothing but a video game and is thusly completely disjointed from the approach taken up until that point. That said, this is only a teaser, the casting is good and Webb is a beyond capable director.
