I am absolutely thrilled to post the complete cut of the wonderful comedy special I helped put together for Showtime entitled “HOUSE OF LIES LIVE!The show, which also airs on television on New Years Eve at 10pm on Showtime (with no beeps or edits), features House of Lies cast members Don Cheadle, Kristen Bell, Ben Schwartz (that’s me), Josh Lawson, Lauren Lapkus, Eugene Cordero and Ryan Gaul performing long form improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in LA.

For those of you who have never seen long form before- the group begins by getting a random suggestion from the audience, they then use the suggestion as a springboard to MAKE UP AN ENTIRE SHOW ON THE SPOTNothing is planned beforehand. Every word is created right there, which is hard enough for seasoned improvisers, let alone these amazing actors who were daring enough to try it out for the first time on national television.

I have been performing improv for ten years at the UCB Theatres in New York and Los Angeles, so I am beyond excited to show the world even a taste of what we do on a daily basis. Please check out the video above (click on the settings wheel and pump that baby up to 720HD) and look out for the unedited, no beep version on Showtime/Showtime on Demand on New Years Eve at 10pm.

It would mean so much to me if you spread the word about the special. Please pass it around in any way you can dream. And yes, the online version has beeps in it, but those beeps made it possible for Showtime to post the entire show online for FREE (subscribers and non-subscribers) which is pretty amazing. Thank you so much to Showtime and to the huge amount of crew, cast, executives and producers who did so many things so well in order to make this special happen.
