The cast for the BBC One and HBO miniseries will include Michael Gambon, Keeley Hawes, Rory Kinnear, Monica Dolan, Julia McKenzie and Abigail Lawrie. It will consist of three one-hour installments.

That cast will include Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Dern, Michael Madsen, and all the actors who recently participated in the live reading of “Hateful Eight” that took place after the script was “leaked.” Those would be also Kurt Russell, James Remar, Amber Tamblyn, Walt Goggins, and Zoe Bell.

I’m hearing that Inside Llewyn Davis star Oscar Isaac is in line for a major role, as is Adam Driver and Attack the Block’s John Boyega, both of whom have been rumored. There is also a young girl, and that might be Maisie Richardson-Sellers, an Oxford-trained actress whose casting has been rumored in recent weeks. The new cast members will join returning Star Wars alums Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill. The big surprise, I’m told, is that Ford has a gigantic role in the first of the next three films.

Solid casting right there.

While many actors want in on a Marvel Studios project because of the surefire exposure, this one has added cachet since it will be directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the DeadHot Fuzz). Sources say Paul Rudd is the frontrunner to play Henry Pym, the scientist who can change his size. Now there is a push to find Pym’s 30-ish girlfriend.

No. 3: Terminator 5

Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Brie Larson (The Spectacular Now) and Tatiana Maslany(Orphan Black) all have tested for the coveted role of Sarah Connor, the woman who gives birth to a future rebel leader and must be protected from killer robots. The other major roles to be filled are leader John Connor (Tom Hardy is the prototype) and Kyle Reese, the man who will become his father. But sources say Paramount, director Alan Taylorand star Arnold Schwarzenegger want to select the girl before casting the guys.

[Up for] Reed Richards are Jack O’Connell (he’s playing Lou Zamperini in Angelina Jolie-directed Unbroken), Divergent‘s Miles Teller and Game Of Thrones‘ Kit Harington. For the role of Sue Storm, the names are The Host’s Saoirse Ronan, 127 Hours‘ Kate Mara and Wolf Of Wall Street‘s Margot Robbie

Often-reliable Latino Review is reporting that a casting notice has gone out to agencies looking for an actress in her late 20s, of any ethnicity, that is “both tall and possesses physicality.” The site describes this role as a love interest for Ben Affleck’s Batman, but that seems more like speculation at this point.

"I just saw the Guardians of the Galaxy Comic Con trailer - wow it looks fantastic! 12-yr-old me can’t believe I’m in it … Re Guardians, I’m a Nova Corps Officer with John C Reilly.”

Vincent Pastore will also be joining the cast, in addition to Brooks Ashmanskas, Betsy Wolfe and Lenny Wolpe. Susan Stroman will write and direct. Woody Allen is adapting his screenplay for the stage. The show will star previews in March 2014 at the St James Theater, with an opening of April 10th.
