Chris Hardwick talks about censorship of women’s bodies and absolutely nails it.

And Hardwick’s genius comment is more important than you think.

Hardwick will be doing a free test show at Meltdown on 6/25. The ticket order page gives this description:

Chris Hardwick, Thomas Lennon, Robert Ben Garant and Funny or Die join forces to host a rapid-fire game show inspired by the darkest recesses of social media.

(Note: It’s unclear if the show is called ‘Midnight’ or ‘@Midnight’, but the ticket page includes the @ symbol outside of Twitter so I’m going with that.)

(ht Splitsider)

It will be on at 12 am following ‘Colbert,’ and co-produced by Nerdist, Tom Lennon & Ben Garant and Funny Or Die. As per the content, Deadline reports, “The show, Comedy Central’s first midnight strip, will be formatted as a comedic panel show that will have a heavy social-media presence integrated throughout.”

In the past on his podcast, Hardwick described his Comedy Central pilot as a pop culture spin on The Daily Show and also likened it to ‘Attack of the Show.’ How much of that remains is to be seen. This will be his third on-going chat show across three different networks.

Even more interesting is it puts Hardwick in direct timeslot competition with fellow Nerdist network podcaster and friend Pete Holmes.

On today’s special edition of The Nerdist Channel’s ALL-STAR CELEBRITY BOWLING, the industrious cast of Comedy Central’s Workaholics (Adam DeVine, Anders Holm, Blake Anderson, and Kyle Newacheck) take on Chris Hardwick, Chris Hardwick, Chris Hardwick and uhh… Chris Hardwick!

nerdistnews:

Chris Hardwick’s All-Star Celebrity Bowling is back and this time Team Nerdist takes on a team from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). Yes, it’s the NASA’s Curiosity Mars Rover team. Can the actual rocket scientists figure out how to beat the Nerdist juggernaut in a high-stakes bowling match?

Chris Hardwick on Hipster Nerds

The Nerdist himself ridicules hipster nerds in his new Comedy Central special Mandroid

Airing Nov. 10th. (I was in the audience for the taping. It’s great.)

Chris Hardwick sent Tom Hanks a vintage typewriter along with a request for him to be on the Nerdist podcast. This was Tom Hanks’ response, proving once again why T.Hanks is an American treasure.

The episode is more than worth a listen.

So! Here is the trailer for a web series I’ll be hosting, where I chat with cool people over actual alcoholic drinks. We’ve shot a dozen of these so far and I am grateful to have been asked to host them.  I got to have interesting conversations with strangers and friends alike.

It goes live on Monday 5/7!

Internet terms!

The show is called “Speakeasy.”

Now when is “A Drink With Dave” coming back?
