White guys with guitars have no trouble winning ‘Idol’, but selling albums in the subsequent years is another story.
Bummer. As ridiculous as the VOD price was I would have liked to see them trying and upset the status quo.
One of these days change is going to come.
I love Nikki Finke and the way she so aptly fuels my one sided Internet flame wars.
The bland version of what happened, I’m told, is that the contract period had ended and that Lopez had fulfilled it with her last two singles, and that Lopez and Stringer decided together not to move forward with an album. Others insist the Sony label dropped her.
The album which was supposed to be released in April is apparently not done either. Unfortunately thats where the drama ends because Finke reports that J Lo reps say the split was mutual. The triple threat is actively seeking a deal at Island Def Jam.
Also her upcoming film The Back Up Plan won’t be released until April. So what exactly is she going to promote on SNL next week?
Looks like I better start warming to a J Lo comeback because she might be here to stay, again.
