Roger Deakins: You know, I’m not nostalgic for a technology. I’m nostalgic for the kind of films that used to be made that aren’t being made now.

NY Comptroller says the film tax credit incentive drove $7 billion into the state economy. Now if only I could find a paying crew job. 

It actually works.

“New York state’s film tax credit has generated about $7 billion in economic activity since 2004 and become a key economic driver, the state’s comptroller said on Tuesday.”

Color me amazed.
