“Andrew Lloyd Webber Musicals: Sing & Dance,” the upcoming video game allowing fans of the Tony Award-winning composer to sing and dance through Webber’s classic tunes, will be released Sept. 14 for Nintendo Wii, according to published reports.

Pimp my Mario Kart? West Coast Customs, the auto body shop best known from MTV’s hit series Pimp My Ride, has built real-life versions of the cars driven by Mario and Luigi in the beloved Mario Kart video game.

The video game giant announced plans Thursday to slash the price for the 3DS by one-third — from $250 to $170 — effective August 12. The move came as the company reported fiscal first quarter revenue that was more than 50 percent below the previous year and a $328 million dollar quarterly loss. It also cut its projected earnings by 82 percent.
Yikes, that’s not good. Their loss is the consumer’s gain it seems. Don’t feel bad for those who bought it at the original price though…
To avoid a backlash from the system’s early adopters, Nintendo also announced it would give existing owners of the 3DS 20 free downloadable games from the Nintendo eShop — 10 upgraded games from the Nintendo Entertainment system in September and 10 Game Boy Advance ports by the end of the year (which, it says, will only be made available to consumers who bought the 3DS at its original price).

Nintendo will most likely make an announcement about its follow up to the Wii at E3 this June, with a soft announcement prior. The console is rumored to have HD capability and backwards compatibility with current Wii games. Other rumors include a new remote design with built in touch screen.
Rumored launch is late 2012.
