I think there’s something here. I like the nod to ‘Wizard of Oz’ with the letterbox, black and white that expands to widescreen full bleed color. That was a clever trick for the trailer and one I hope they’ll employ in the film. I think Raimi has a solid vision for this and a firm grasp on the visual style, but as far as teasers go this is very preliminary. It could be good, but it’s a little early to tell. Also, you can tell it’s from the same people that made ‘Alice in Wonderland’.
