The Headlong Theater Company in London has announced that the world premiere of the musical adaptation of “American Psycho,” based on the 1991 novel by Bret Easton Ellis, will be part of its 2012-13 season. Hywel John (“Pieces”) will portray Patrick Bateman, a Wall Street executive who moonlights as a serial killer in the story. Rupert Goold (“Enron”) will direct the production, which has music and lyrics by Duncan Sheik (“Spring Awakening”) and a book by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (“Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark”). An opening date has not been set.
Underrated in 2011 - The Hour continued to prove that British television wipes the floor with almost everything that America puts on the air. If you didn’t watch it, it’s an easily digestible 6 hour series and will entangle you as well as any so-called American drama.
