Jerry Seinfeld Launches New Personal Archives Website
Each day he’ll be posting 3 hand selected clips from his televised history in an attempt to create a digital archive of his 30 year stand up history. Here’s his personal statement from the site…
When I was ten years old, I started watching
stand up comedians on TV.
I fell in love with them and I’m just as fascinated
with stand up comedy today.
When I started doing TV, I saved every appearance
on every show I did.
I thought it might be fun to go through all of it
and pick out three bits each day that still
amuse me for some reason or another.
I’ve also included stuff I’m doing now, and I’ll be
adding new stuff as I go.
Somewhere out there are ten year olds
just waiting to get hooked on this strange pursuit.
This is for them.
I’m just hoping somehow it will keep this silliness going.

I met the real George Steinbrenner on only one occasion when he actually came and played himself on an episode of Seinfeld. He seemed to really enjoy himself. I did not get to know him but the fact that he allowed himself and his beloved team to be satirized on our show is an indication to me of his true character. He was certainly a legend and I am pleased to have been associated with him, even if only in fiction. My sympathies to his family, friends and fans.
This woman is a jerk. I hate her. I can’t believe they put her in my box, which I paid for. You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we’re living in now?
