So Lorne Michaels told the Times. He also stressed that Fred Armisen is still the show’s “backbone.”

Nice. Taran vs. Robyn, compare and contrast via split-screen.

Good night.

This wins all the awards tonight.

If there’s one thing I learned yesterday, it’s that Taran Killam is most definitely the future of SNL.

With bonus flashlight rave from Bobby Moynihan, Vanessa Bayer, Sarah Schneider, and Abby Elliot.

Sneak peak at Taran Killam on Community. Killam will play a choir director on Community’s Christmas episode.

Great casting. Based on this picture alone, great casting.

Paul Brittain, Taran Killam & Vanessa Bayer to join SNL | The Comic’s Comic

itssaturdaynightlive:

The Comic’s Comic is reporting that Taran Killam, Paul Brittain and Vanessa Bayer look set to join SNL for its 36th Season. The first is Paul Brittain, an iO Chicago performer, the next is Taran Killam, a Groundlings performer and the last is Vanessa Bayer, a Chicago improviser with iO and Second City Tour Co.

More on these three coming up. Just FYI, The Comic’s Comic was the one who broke the news that Jenny Slate & Nasim Pedrad were cast last year, so you can trust him.

Taran Killam (HIMYM, Scrubs) is a smart fit, he does many, many impressions. The cast is going to be huge.
