In The Hunt, 12 tributes teams of two are dropped into the wilderness without food, water or shelter. They must compete in a game where they’ll rely on their physicality, survival skills and hunting skills to endure the harsh conditions and kill capture one another. Also, the winner gets food for life cash.

What’s the show’s tagline, “May the odds be favorable to you, the players of this completely original game”?

What would HBO’s gritty, Emmy-nominated fantasy epic Game of Thrones look like if it aired on teen-friendly network The CW? There’d be fewer boobs, for one thing, and less edge — but even more angst. Just for fun, we made a fake promo for Westeros’s hottest soap.

So the CW is promoting its new shows with a video player inside the latest Enterainment Weekly. It’s not the first time this has been done, CBS did it in EW with video clips a few years back. But what’s new this time is that the CW player pulls up live tweets from the network’s feed. As it turns out the player is an Android device with 3G connectivity. Mashable has a video that explains all the tech details.

As Mr. Dink would say, “very expensive.”

So … ABC and The CW have “Beauty and the Beast” pilots in the works. One is more fantasy, the other a modern take with a procedural element.

What are ‘Once Upon a Time’ and ‘Grimm.’ Hollywood’s Out of Ideas for $400, please.

huffposttv:

And just for the heck of it, a picture of the “Smash” cast.

Can you tell I’m excited for “Smash”? If you can’t, here’s some breaking news: I am so ready for “Smash.”

You cannot make this shit up.

Ringer premiered to the tune of 2.7 million total viewers and a 1.2 in the demo. It had a marked increase from its 90210 lead in (1.6 mil, 0.8 rating) and improved greatly over Life Unexpected’s premiere in the same spot last year.

Now of course the question is can it sustain those good-for-CW numbers.
